Terms and Conditions of Use of ‘QSC’ Aligners

We will supply you with a pre-treatment ‘Advice Letter’ for any procedures that we believe are possible. This letter can be used as part of your ‘patient assessment processes’, in conjunction with all other clinical procedures available to the client, in order to formulate a ‘treatment plan’ and agree it with all concerned parties. QSC aligners should not be fitted without a treatment plan being in place and readily available. By prescribing your first QSC aligner, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions of use.

Aligners must be changed regularly, with a maximum of 1 month between each new Aligner, in order to prevent the moved teeth from drifting back to where they originally moved from. Treatment times and results can vary considerably from the initial consultation if this is not done, and could increase the overall cost of treatment by having to re do treatment stages. Ideally a new impression should be taken every 7 – 10 days, with a new Aligner every 2 – 3 weeks, in order to keep your treatment plan on course. Gaps in the treatment plan of more than 4 weeks between Aligners may result in an increased cost of treatment.

As with any Orthodontic treatment, a final retainer should be worn at the end of treatment. Either a Bonded or Essix retainer, or indeed both, should be recommended for post treatment retention, in order to prevent the teeth drifting or slipping back to their previous positions. The patient will be deemed as discharged from treatment once the final retainer has been fitted, and further aligners will be chargeable outside of the fixed cost plan.

This system, as with all removable Orthodontic systems, relies entirely on patient co-operation and if the guidelines and terms of usage are not followed, the final results may not be achieved.

By prescribing to Ashford Orthodontics Ltd, you will be agreeing to these QSC terms and Conditions.
